NEW SOD FIELD | ||
PRE-PLANT | GOAL | REASON |
2 quarts per acre RECLAIM | To combat chemical carry-over and promote general detoxification. | RECLAIM helps clean up the soil to allow uninhibited root establishment. Adding necessary N-P-K helps build up mineral levels in the root zone and make them available to the plant immediately. |
SODDING | GOAL | REASON |
Apply 6 oz. per 1,000 square feet TURF BLEND when laying sod. Apply with water immediately after sod is laid down and before irrigation can be turned on (do it in blocks of 1-2000 sq. ft. by hand and then keep the tractors and equipment off of the area). | Stimulate sod to push rooting development with chelated liquid materials | Sod will be stressed and needs immediate attention. TURF BLEND contains micronutrients and an enzyme blend that stimulates the microbial activity in the soil which helps rooting. TURF BLEND also contains moisture control materials and will hold moisture in the new sod thus lessening stress. |
NEW SOD FIELD FROM SEED | ||
PRE-PLANT | GOAL | REASON |
2 quarts per acre RECLAIM | To combat chemical carry-over and promote general detoxification. | RECLAIM helps clean up the soil to allow uninhibited root establishment. Adding necessary N-P-K to the bare ground helps build up mineral levels in the root zone and make them available to the new plant immediately as it germinates. |
NEW SOD FARM FIELD FROM SPRIGS
PRE-PLANT | GOAL | REASON |
Treat “home” area of sprigs or plugs with 6 oz. per 1000 sq. ft. one week prior to cutting | Keep plant vitality at a maximum | Helps the sprig or plug to establish new roots more quickly and maintains plant moisture, lessening the cutting stress. |
PLANTING | GOAL | REASON |
Spray planted area with 6 oz. TURF BLEND per 1000 sq. ft. | To keep plants alive and viable before irrigation can start | Adds moisture and enzymes for root establishment |
COMPACTION PROGRAM | GOAL | REASON |
Apply SOIL SOFT 12 ounces per acre | Open soil for better rooting | SOIL SOFT contains an enzyme complex that aerates the soil which fights compaction in the root zone |
Herbicide Spray Program
Apply 16 fl. oz. phLAME per 100 gallon tank mix with contact herbicides.
Fungicide Spray Program
Apply 16 – 32 fl. oz. SS 9 per 100 gallon tank mix with fungicide.
Note about Spraying:We strongly recommend using an adjuvant with your sod farm spray program. AgPro™ specialty surfactants (SS 9, SPREADER STICKER, phLAME) have proven cost effective with spray applications of chemicals (fungicides, herbicides, pesticides) to allow lowest label rates with better results. The synergy can add potency and extend the chemical life and have allowed some growers to experiment and get exceptional results with well under label rates.
Please ask your AgPro™ representative for the appropriate product for your needs and grower’s experiences in your area. |
